GOLD - LITHIUM - NICKEL

RAGGED RANGE
PROJECT

OVERVIEW

Thor Energy holds 92 square kilometres of exploration licences at one of the best addresses for mining exploration in Australia.

Aproximately 40 kms west of Nullagine, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the Ragged Range Project area lies on the eastern boundary of the Greatland Gold Panorama project and predominantly comprises of Eastern Pilbara greenstone which is highly prospective for both gold and nickel.

GOLD PROSPECTS

After aquiring the Ragged Range project in 2019, Thor conducted a stream sediment sampling program at 44 sites. Visible gold was observed in panning samples at 15 of the 44 test sites. Subsequent laboratory assays confirmed eight sites with anomalous gold and a further two sites with anomalous nickel and chrome. A follow up sampling program was conducted in July 2020 to further evaluate the eight gold target sites from the 2019 program. Thor has now identified a strike distance of approximately 13 kilometres of this gold prospective greenstone horizon.

Over 2021 and 2022 Thor has conducted a number of RC drilling programs across this target zone. The focus has been on testing the interpreted dilational zones associated with faulting and folding along the regional thrust fault contact between the mafic and ultramafic units.

The Ragged Range Prospect is Highly Prospective for

GOLD, LITHIUM AND NICKEL

NICKEL PROSPECTS

Eastern Pilbara greenstone is well-known for it’s nickel mineralisation. Using data collected during stream sampling and rock chipping, Thor identified a large nickel gossan at the Krona Prospect.

Follow up Fixed Loop Electromagnetics ground geophysics surveys conducted in early 2022 showed  a  shallow  conductor  beneath  the  nickel  gossan. The nickel gossan is located at the basal contact of the Dalton Suite ultramafic unitin, a  classic   location   for   nickel-copper   sulphide mineralisation.

LITHIUM PROSPECTS

The Pilbara Craton is highly prospective for lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) enriched pegmatites and hosts two world class deposits at Wodgina and Pilgangoora that formed close to the Split Rock Supersuite. With growing global demand for battery metals, in 2021 the Thor team reviewed the lithium potential of the Ragged Range Project and uncovered several lithium exploration targets in three areas in the northern project area. These target areas contain prospective LCT ground adjacent to the Split Rock Supersuite. The team is now looking to develop these targets with a combination of airborne magnetics, radiometrics, as well as detailed geological mapping, pXRF analysis and rock chip sampling.

The Pilbara Craton already hosts two “world class” lithium deposits, and ground with battery metals prospectivity at our 100% owned Ragged Range project is an exciting new development, and has the potential to create substantial value for Thor shareholders.
